Today’s post is another nail polish look but the special thing this time is that the two limited edition Zoya Petals sets that I will be using each come with a gorgeous lipstick. I’ve never seen a set with nail polishes and lipsticks but I think it’s a great idea because if you want to act like your life is totally put together than there is no better way than saying that by flaunting your matching nail polish and lipstick! 🙂
The two petals sets are inspired by the gardens of spring with their fresh and vibrant colors. The six nail polishes come in the following shades :
Leia – ZP835: Sheer opalescent white with flecks of fuchsia, green and gold. Just as beautiful on its own or layered over your favourite spring shades!
Aster – ZP836: Fresh periwinkle with flecks of fuchsia to create a dewy finish, mimicking the look of spring flowers in the morning.
Azalea – ZP837: Classic spring pink with a captivating white and fuchsia flash.
Zahara – ZP838: Brilliant shimmering coral made modern with an opalescent effect.
Tulip – ZP839: Pure pastel salmon cream with the slightest hint of sheen to mimic a petal soft finish.
Laurel – ZP840: Warm pastel pink with the slightest hint of sheen to mimic a petal soft finish.
The first set (image above) is called Zoya Petals Lips & Tips Vibrant and the second one (image below) is Zoya Petals Lips & Tips Soft. Both sets include three 7.5ml Zoya Petals shades and one matching cream lipstick. The Vibrant set contains the nail polish shades Aster, Azalea & Zahara and the lipstick shade Brooke which is a creamy, sheer and hydrating lipstick which unfortunately doesn’t last all day but does keep your lips nicely moisturised and glowing. The color is a slightly glittering purple which stands out but doesn’t overwhelm. The Soft set comes with the nail polishes Leia, Tulip & Laurel and the lipstick shade Wren. The lipstick Wren matches the softer nail polish shades and together they are perfect for work or in general for during the day.
For the nail polish look at the beginning of this post I used two coats of the shade Aster on all fingernails except for the ring finger where I applied two coats of Leia as a base coat. For the center of the flowers I placed four dots of the nail polish Tulip on the ring finger and created the petals with dots from the polishes Aster, Azalea and Zahara. To finish the look off I placed four little pearls in the center of each flower.
As I mentioned above I personally would wear the lipstick Wren during the day and Brooke in the evening when you want to spice things up a little. I also think though that Brooke isn’t too striking so if you’re feeling bold you could definitely also sport it during the day time.
The two Zoya lipstick shades have just joined my Lipstick Collections page where I’ve swatched my complete lipstick collection so feel free to go check it out here.
