Yesterday I treated myself to a wellness day which I haven’t done in far too long. I started by painting my toenails, bleaching my teeth, treating my skin to a face mask and lastly colouring my hair pink – more on that soon. So in the spirit of taking care of your body’s largest organ the skin I’m going to show you some new wellness products. Let’s start with the most important thing – cleansing! You can’t treat your skin properly if the skin isn’t clean. Currently I like using these three products by Deborah Milano. The Eye Make Up Remover in the center gently removes the makeup without irritating the skin. It contains nourishing aloe vera and argan oil. For the rest of the face I use the Cleansing Milk which also contains aloe vera and argan oil but also sweet almond oil which additionally hydrates the skin. To finish off the cleansing you can apply the Tonic Lotion which recreates the pH-number. I’ve always liked using face sprays such as the Eau de Beauté by Caudalie. You can spray it on after cleansing your skin but I also like to use it to fix my makeup or refresh it a little throughout the day. This one by Caudalie is super invigoration and has a distinctive citrus smell and effect. The scent and tingling effect will give you that refreshing boost whenever you need it.
Now that the skin is cleaned and refreshed it’s time to hydrate. Dr. Hauschka’s Rose Day Cream is a gentle but powerful face cream which nourishes and protects dry and sensitive skin. It contains healing rose, sorrel and amber. If you’re a Dr. Hauschka fan you might also want to try the Cleansing Cream which is a lipid balancing cream. It revitalises, refines and cleanses deeply. I like to use this one in winter when my skin is super dry. Lastly two masks my Iroha Nature. These foot and hand masks are packed full with natural ingredients like argan, karité and macadamia. They make sure that your skin gets nourished and hydrated deeply and that your dry and chapped skin heals more quickly. These masks are especially good if you put a lot of stress on your hands and feet in everyday life.
