With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I decided to create a simple but sweet makeup look to match the romantic occasion. Firstly though I’d like to give the guys out there a hint at what we girls would love for Valentine’s Day. Instead of chocolate or flowers how about some delicate jewellery from Phantasya! My personal favourites at the moment are this sweet little rose gold heart necklace and silver ring which are both made with Swarovski crystals. Aren’t they the perfect gift! 🙂 Now let’s talk about the makeup. I created this look with makeup products from all different brands ranging from high end Estée Lauder to more budget friendly brands like Wet n Wild and Deborah Milano.
Recently I wrote a Foundation and Concealer Comparison post in which one of my favourite new foundations was the Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation in Nude Ivory and the Photofocus Concealer in Light Ivory. These are the foundation products I also used for this look but with the addition of the Wet n Wild Megaglo Makeup Sticks Conceal Nude For Thought and Highlight When The Nude Strikes. To fix the foundation I applied the Deborah Milano Blurring Effect Smoothing Powder Colorless which mattifies and sets makeup. The eyebrows I get done at the Lashbar in Zürich which always do a fabulous job at lashes and brows! As you might have noticed I am wearing a different lipstick in each photo because I wanted to show you lots of different ones. This one here is from Estée Lauder’s Pure Color Love line and is the shade 462 Luna Orchid.
The eye makeup I created with the Deborah Milano Perfect Smokey Eye Palette which contains five matte shades. To highlight the brow arch I applied the far right tone. For a nice purple base I used the lavender shade on the far left. Lastly to define the look I applied the plum shade second from the left. For some extra dazzle and definition I added a mix of these four beautiful Deborah Milano eye liners which are from left to right: Velvet Kajal & Eyeliner 02, Metallic Eyes & Lips Pencil 03, Eyeshadow & Kajal Pencil 01 Mat and Eyeshadow & Kajal Pencil 11 Pearly.Lastly my favourite part as always are the lips. To prep them properly I used the Deborah Milano Duo Lip Detox Scrub & Serum. First you apply the Lip Scrub which smoothes out the skin with its jojoba oil. Afterwards you hydrate and nourish the lips with the Lip Serum which contains shea butter. Also from Deborah Milano is the Long Lasting Lipstick in the shade 17 which is a subtle old rose shade. I am wearing it in the very first image of this post. The Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit Coral Corruption you see in this image I’ve already worn in another post which you can check out here. One of my new favourite lippies is the Estée Lauder Pure Color Love One Stroke Ombré Lipstick in the shade Venus + Vixen. I love ombré looks but often forget to create them. With the new Estée Lauder lipstick however its super easy as it is all in one. You just need to apply it and you instantly have the perfect ombré lip. Also from Estée Lauder are these new Pure Color Love Trend Collection lipsticks. These beauties come in four different kinds of finishes ranging from suede matte, extreme creme, pixie pearls to flash chromes. The shades you see above are from left to right 160 Granite Planet, 380 Galactic Gold and 462 Luna Orchid. Luna Orchid is the one you saw above already. Here I am wearing 380 Galactic Gold. I love the dazzling look of this shade and am also super impressed with the smooth feel of all the new Estée Lauder lipsticks.Lastly here you can see the shade 160 Granite Planet which is a delicious chocolate color.
Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?
