Not long now! Soon I’ll be spending six weeks Down Under and as I am already in the middle of packing stress I thought why not share my new travel toiletry bag essentials. Quick disclaimer. In this post I won’t be doing a full toiletry bag packing list and you will notice that there are many items missing which are essential. I must admit that I haven’t finished packing my toiletry bag yet but these are just a few items I got which are absolutely perfect for travelling and wanted to share with you.The first product I want to talk about is Moroccanoil‘s new Dry Shampoo for dark hair. The brand Moroccanoil is already my go-to when I want a luxurious haircare product with Argan oil at an affordable price. Now they have a new dry shampoo which comes in two shades. One for dark hair and one for light hair. I always hated that dry shampoo left a fine white film on my hair which was often hard to brush out completely. With this dark coloured dry shampoo I no longer need to worry about that pesky white residue.
I never travel without a bottle of dry shampoo especially when I’m on a long flight. The best feeling is when after hours on the plane you can spray some dry shampoo on your hair, brush through it and feel like you’ve just stepped out of the shower with fresh and deliciously smelling hair.
While we’re talking about hair I want to show you the Oil Repair Shampoo and Conditioner by I Am. These two bad boys are perfect for damaged and dry hair that need a full on recovery treatment. Especially when I go on beach holidays where the hair is exposed to a lot of sunlight, sand and salt water I like to give them an extra boost with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner.
From I Am I also got the travel size Body Lotion Hydratante which is not only good for after a long day at the beach but I’m also trying to use a body lotion every day. I have to say that I am more often than not just too lazy to bother but I’m trying hard to make body lotion part of my daily routine. PH Balance has a great shower gel and 48h deodorant spray which are both hypoallergenic and good for sensitive skin.
If I’m not going to the beach I usually opt for the I Am Intense Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. As I have lots of curls which are usually a pain to comb I always look for conditioner which make the hair a lot easier to unknot. The Intense Moisture Conditioner makes the hair very smooth and it is a lot easier to comb through them. I mostly use shower gels but the I Am Shower Lotion Almond & Peach smells so insanely delicious that I simply can’t resist it! Right now I’m sitting in front of my computer and can’t stop smelling the heavenly peach scent! 🙂 The next two products I keep in my carry on bag. Firstly the I Am Hand Disinfectant Gel is a definite must on any trip. There are so many situations where it is a blessing to be able to quickly disinfect your hands. This one doesn’t just smell like any old disinfectant but like pomegranate! Because I hate how dry my hands are after disinfecting I also always carry a handcreme like the I Am Hand And Nail Balm. It doesn’t only nourish your hands but also your nails with keratin and micro pearls.
Naturally I need some matching toiletry bags as well. Rituals has a gorgeous line of rose gold metallic travel bags. In the image above you can see the Luxury Travel Bag at the back, the Make-Up Bag in the front and in the middle a cute Travel Hang Tag. I love the text on the Hang Tag saying “Everybody smiles in the same language”. I also really like the sizes of the two bags. The rose gold metallic even matches my champagne coloured suitcase. In the first image in this post you can see another makeup bag. That sweet little pink bag with the plane is from Estée Lauder and it’s perfect for in my carry on bag.
Lastly I also packed the I Am Milk & Honey Shower Creme and Sun Look Sun Milk. Once again the Milk & Honey Shower Creme smells just divine. The mini Sun Look Sun Milk comes in a great travel sized bottle so I can always have it in my handbag because you never know when the sun is going to come out again. Everywhere but especially in Australia it is super important to always wear sunscreen!
Before I end this post I wanted to let you know that over the next few weeks I won’t just be posting about make-up & beauty products but also will be writing a few travel posts. So stay tuned!
