Although it did snow in Switzerland today, summer is definitely still on the way and just in time Tom Ford has launched their limited edition Summer 2016 Soleil Collection. The range includes many products that give you the perfect warm complexion with pearl effects and which has been inspired by the Amalfi Coast. I got to try out their Bronzing Powder, the Ultra-Rich Lip Color and their Moisturecore Lip Color. So without any further ado let’s catch the first warm sun rays of 2016.
Firstly I’d like to talk about the Bronzing Powder in the shade Bronze Age. Quite honestly before this day I have never used a classic bronzer! 😮 Because I have such fair skin I never thought of adding a bronzer to my makeup routine. I very rarely contour but apart from that I only use foundation, highlighter and concealer. But a few days ago I saw this video where the bronzer was used as a simple contour and I fell in love with the trick. All you need to do is image a 3 on either sides of your face and apply the bronzer there for an instant glowing contour. This trick is so easy and quick that I’ll definitely be using it a lot from now on! That’s why I was super excited to try out Tom Ford’s bronzer. The consistency of the powder bronzer is very silky, light and creamy. It isn’t crumbly at all which I find really important. The formula contains a mineral blend of sunstone, amber and black tourmaline crystals. This combination flawlessly highlights the skin’s natural radiance, amplifies the bone structure and gives you a warm and seductive glow.
I am a confessed lipstick lover and am over to moon to be able to add two Tom Ford lipsticks to my Lipstick Collections page and personal stash. 🙂 The first one is the Ultra-Rich Lip Color in Purple Noon. This berry colored lipstick is very intensive. I would definitely say that it is more opaque than the second lipstick I’ll be showing you but not as highly pigmented as other opaque lip colors. The high-shine lipstick is anything but drying and the lips appear smoother and softer. I also really like the clear cut edge wich makes it really easy to draw a precise lip line without having to use a liner. The only drawback is that it doesn’t last that long, so you will need to reapply every now and then. I do find this to be common though with lipsticks that are moisturising. I guess you can’t have the best of both worlds!

The second lipstick is the Moisturecore Lip Color in Otranto which is a combination of two formulas in one product. In the center there is a liquid core infused with passion fruit oil which provides moisture and a pink color. The outer ring consists of a shiny, subtle lip color that is infused with an exotic blend of melon fruit extract, murumuru butter and plant-derived esters. The sparkling lipstick highlights your natural golden summer complexion nicely while hydrating your lips simultaneously. I find the Moisturecore Lip Color great for during the day because you can reapply it without a mirror as you do not need to be as precise as with the Ultra-Rich Lip Color. The lipstick also fades beautifully so you don’t end up looking like you just ate half of your lipstick off!
