November Favourites 2016

This month’s favourites post all revolves around products that will protect your skin and hair from the cold and dry winter air that’s been rolling in the last couple of weeks. There is nothing worse than having dry, cracked and itchy skin during the cold months so here are a couple of my favourite products to keep your hair and skin hydrated, protected and radiant.

No matter what time of year it is always important to have a good skin care routine but in winter you just need to go that extra mile to keep your skin nourished and hydrated. Migros sells a line called Zoé Youth. The line has a Face Cream, CC Cream, Serum and Eye Cream. In my daily routine I use the Serum and the Face Cream. The Serum promises a smooth and youthful complexion, smaller pores and intensive hydration. I apply the Serum in the mornings and evenings onto my clean face, neck and décolletage except for the eye area. The feel of the Serum is super smooth and it sinks in very quickly leaving your face ready for the Face Cream which is the perfect base for your makeup. Again I apply it mornings and evenings in the same areas as the Serum.

In the evenings I like to give my skin an extra boost with the Advanced Night Repair Intensive Recovery Ampoules by Estée Lauder. This powerful recovery concentrate calms and rapidly renews the look of over-stressed skin, helping to strengthen its resistance against future assaults. The oil within the ampoules includes ChronoluxAI technology to help reduce visible irritation and synchronize the look of the skin. All you need to do is apply it in the evening after the serum and before your moisturiser. Just twist the capsule open, pour into your palm and massage lightly over the skin with your fingertips. I love using these ampoules every now and then when I feel my skin is especially dry and irritated. Just after a few uses the skin is smoother, more flexibel and visibly less irritated.

A while back I wrote the Guhl Feuchtigkeitsaufbau Giveaway post so I won’t go into too much detail about this product today. The Feuchtigkeits Aufbau line by Guhl has a gorgeous new packaging design as you can see in the image above. The reason why this line made my favourites post this month is because the Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave-In Spray are my favourite hair care products. Guhl’s products are made with amazing ingredients and always after only one use I already notice a massive difference in the structure of my hair and how it feels. So if you haven’t tried out their products yet it’s high time you give them a try!

Carmex is a brand I hadn’t heard of before until a couple weeks ago when I got to try their limited edition Kiss Moisturising Lip Balm. This lip balm contains the following ingredients:

Beeswax: Creates the consistency and protects dry and chapped skin
Camphor: Cooling, tingly effect that acts antimicrobial against germs and eases pain
Lanolin: Calming and hydrating, prevents dry skin and rashes, creates elasticity and smoothness
Menthol: Calms dry, chapped lips and eases pain, helps with respiratory ailments and headaches
Cocoa butter: Natural fat from the cocoa bean, hydrating, protects against dry air, wind, sun and coldness

The lip balm feels very smooth creates a tingly sensation during the first couple of minutes. The minty scent makes your lips super kissable and ready for some action. 🙂
