Kiko Milano Arctic Holiday Collection

Just in time for Christmas Kiko Milano has released their stunning Arctic Holiday collection. This collection is inspired by a Scandinavian arctic landscape with its surreal horizon, northern light reflections, super-reflective ice crystals and lights and shadows. Arctic Holiday plays with contrast, the explosion of colors, reflections of countless facets and different perspectives.Besides makeup and skin care products the collection also offers accessories. All are designed and packaged in iridescent and silvery colors that shine like shimmering ice crystals. They also sport contrasting textures ranging from metallic to holographic and from matte to glitter finishes. I especially love the boxes in which the products come which create reflections that remind of the arctic light. The products range from must-haves for the basics, innovative and on-trend color makeup and colors for the looks sophisticated, glamorous and eccentric. This mesmerising collection designed by Ross Lovegrove also makes for great Christmas presents with their amazing packaging. Now lets take a closer look at Arctic Holiday. These are three of the accessories. I will talk about the brush and the puff in a sec. Firstly I’d like to highlight the Pochette which is designed with a sophisticated silver mirror-effect. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to wear it with my Christmas look this year. The Arctic Holiday Powder Brush is a soft synthetic angled brush which can be used with all types of powders. It is designed for applying makeup bases and sculpting facial features. The Arctic Holiday Strobing Face Serum is a highlighting face base with hyaluronic acid which recharges the skin with hydration and maintains it over time. The reflective pearls within give an immediate light effect with the added benefit of evening out the complexion. Applying this silky serum before applying your makeup will make your look appear fresher, more even and should make it last longer too. This eyeshadow palette contains three shades and is available in four different color palettes. This one is called 01 Spectacular Bronze. The baked eyeshadows can be used for wet and dry use and have a lovely rich and intense color release. I find that they are also quite easy to blend. Each set contains a metallic, satin and a matte finish eyeshadow so you can create beautifully contrasted looks. The Glacial Eyeshadow is an eyeshadow stick which also comes in four shades this one being 01 Ethereal Champagne. The long-lasting fresh-effect stick has an incredible texture as it is water-based and its metallic finish gives you the refreshing effect. Next up is my favourite piece of the Arctic Holiday collection not lastly because of its dazzling glitter packaging. I am of course talking about the All-In-One Palette. The All-In-One Palette for face and eye makeup contains everything you need for a flawless look. I especially love this palette for on the go or when travelling. The palette contains two face-sculpting powders, one blush, one highlighter and nine eyeshadows three of which can also be used as eyebrow powders. Again here we have different finishes with the eyeshadows including matte and metallic. For my look I used the blush on my cheekbones and the highlighter above my cheekbones, on my brow arches, cupid’s bow and bridge of my nose. For the eyes I applied the shade White Snow to create a nice base and then filled in with Sunset. To create some depth I added Ebony to the crease. With a wet brush and Nirvana I gave the look some metallic sparkle. To finish the look off I used Silver Lake with a wet brush on my brow bone and the inner corner of my eye.The collection also has some sets like the Eye Kit which contains a Mascara and an Eyeliner. The Standout Mascara has a volume-enhancing effect which is achieved by making the lashes look fuller and thicker. The Lasting Precision Automatic Eyeliner & Khol has a soft and smooth-gliding texture which makes it possible to blend the pencil straight after application. This here is the Stick Highlighter in the shade 02 Glacial Copper which is sadly a little too dark for my skin type. The water-based highlighter has an intense color and metallic finish. Personally though I prefer powder to stick highlighters.Another favourite of mine is this Pearly Puff which releases incredibly fine diamond-effect golden illuminating powder and a gentle vanilla fragrance. It’s perfect for a slight highlight effect. The last product from the Kiko Milano Arctic Holiday collection is the Baked Powder in the color 03 Honey. What’s awesome about this powder is that it smells of ginger and spices. It is also enriched with ingredients derived from glacial water which color the complexion and leave it flawless. Unfortunately this shade is again too dark for me. I can however use it as a bronzer. That’s it from the Arctic Holiday collection and my look. If you were wondering about my jewellery it is from Phantasya. The long lashes are thanks to the Lash Bar in Zurich.

Have you already got all your Christmas presents?
