July Favourites 2016

All copy

A month ago I wrote my first favourites post and I enjoyed doing it so much that I decided to write a July favourites post for this month too. This July I got to try out so many new, amazing and beautiful products ranging from a pair of stylish Marco Tozzi shoes, to Estée Lauder’s new Summer products and Philips’ cool ProCare Auto Curler. Since this is gonna be a rather long post I’ll dive right into it!Eyes cropped copy small

I actually hadn’t heard much about the brand Technic until I got to try their Natural Lashes and False Eyelash Applicator. At first I was a little sceptical because I have so far only worn really pricey MAC lashes and the Technic lashes are at the other end of the price spectrum. I was very intrigued to give the False Eyelash Applicator a try because applying lashes sure ain’t easy! With the lashes I was pleasantly surprised as I didn’t notice a huge quality difference to the MAC lashes. They do feel a little less durable though and I think they won’t last as long as the ones from MAC. The applicator is really great if you are new to applying fake lashes. Since I’ve been applying them for quite a while now the applicator didn’t help me as much because I’ve already got my own technique.

Marco Tozzi copy

A few years ago I encountered Marco Tozzi’s shoes for the first time on a shopping spree. His shoes are so gorgeous but still cool that I just had to get a second pair! This high heeled sandal is perfect for a casual outfit but also goes with a nice Summer evening ensemble. One thing I hate is when high heeled shoes are so uncomfortable that I am in so much  pain after a few minutes that I am forced to take them off. With all the Marco Tozzi shoes whether high heeled or not I’ve never had that excruciating pain and am able to wear them for a few hours.

A few weeks ago I got to try the Philips ProCare Auto Curler which you might have heard about from Germany’s Next Topmodel. I made a short video showing the curling iron so sit back and enjoy!

One of my all-time favourite brands is Estée Lauder. From their Summer products I want to show you the Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery PowerFoil Mask, Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II, Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam and the Bronze Goddess Exfoliating Body Cleanser. In my Estée Lauder Spring/Summer 2016 post I talked a lot about the PowerFoil Mask so I won’t go into that product today. As it’s one of my favourite facial masks though I wanted to add it to this post as well.

I had heard so many amazing things about the Synchronized Recovery Complex II that I just had to give it a try. After using it just once I already noticed that my face looked more awake and radiant. It’s the perfect serum for after a long night partying when you just need that extra boost. Of course best is if you use it all the time but as I like to switch my routine around a little I tend to go for the powerful Estée Lauder serum when my face really needs it!

I strongly live by the motto to never go to sleep with makeup on my face so the Micro Cleasning Foam is something I use a lot. I especially like foams because they are so easy to use and feel great on the skin. The Estée Lauder one is very good at getting rid of any residue and feels very luxurious and light.

In my recent post Bronze Goddess Estée Lauder Makeup Look I showed you Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess makeup products but the line also has the Exfoliating Body Cleanser. Firstly I have to say that I love all of Estée Lauder’s packaging and designs but one of my favourites is the design of the Bronze Goddess products! As well as having an amazing packaging they also smell like a hot Summer day. For me a big part about using beauty products is the luxurious experience which begins with the scent. The Body Cleanser is quite gentle so even if you have sensitive skin you can use it. The feel of it is very smooth and creamy apart from the fine little exfoliating particles. After I rinse the exfoliator off the scent still lingers which is a major plus point in my view.

Zoya copy

I often post about Zoya’s nail polishes because I think they are absolutely amazing. The quality is good, the price is right and they’re even safe to wear for pregnant moms because they are toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate free. In the image above you can see Zoya’s Whispers Collection.

The colours are from left to right as following:

  • Cala – soft nude with a kiss of warmth that will flatter most skin tones
  • April – light, rosy toned neutral that is a modern take on blush
  • Eastyn – subtle grayed grape that is more interesting than mauve and gives a modern alternative that is ever so wearable
  • Ireland – uniquely wearable green that is muted enough to make it subtle yet still interesting
  • Lake – softened blue that gives the effect of serene water with just a hint of vibrancy to preserve its luminosity
  • Misty – easy to wear taupe that is an updated version of gray with just a touch of green to make it daring

Have you tried any of my July favourites?

Yeah, I’m a huge fan of Zoya and from the Whispers Collection I especially love the shade Lake. I’m actually wearing it right now! 🙂
