I recently discovered the amazing brand Dr. Hauschka. In my last post 5 Essentials For On The Beach I briefly talked about Dr. Hauschka’s Summer products for 2016. As they were so amazing I decided to dedicate a post solely to Dr. Hauschka’s Comeback Look 2016.
Twice a year Dr. Hauschka Make-Up releases a look created with limited edition products. The 2016 Spring/Summer “Comeback” look brings back the limited edition favourites of the last few years. These products include their Eyeliner 08 “Taupe”, the Eyeshadow Trio, their Balancing Teint Powder, the Rouge Powder Duo and lastly the Lipstick Novum 08 “Maple Glow”. These limited editions are in stores from 15. February until 15. August 2016. Below I will also be swatching some of Dr. Hauschka’s other lipsticks which aren’t limited edition.
Let’s get started with the look! First of all I applied the Balancing Teint Powder with a powder brush to my forehead, temples, cheeks and chin to create an even complexion. The texture of the powder is so creamy and smooth and the three nuances in the powder give you a perfect finish.
Next up was the Rouge Powder Duo. First of all I need to say that I love the cute little flower design of it and same as with the Balancing Teint Powder I was very impressed with the consistency. With an angled blush brush I applied it to my cheekbones for a warm summer glow.
For this look I drew a subtle cat wing with the Eyeliner in the shade 08 “Taupe”. I applied quite a bit and blended it upwards and to the outer corner of the eye with the blender sponge. I also shaded the waterline a little for some more drama. 🙂 I can be very critical with eyeliners as I can’t stand it when you can’t smudge them nicely. The Dr. Hauschka one is very creamy and highly pigmented which thoroughly convinced me.
The Eyeshadow Trio contains the shades “Sparkling Nude”, “Pearly Rose” and “Matt Chocolate”. I used “Sparkling Nude” to cover my whole eyelids and especially to highlight below the brow arch and the inner corner of the eye. I also applied the shade “Pearly Rose” generously for this look and finished it off by filling in the crease of my eyelid with “Matt Chocolate”.
Dr. Hauschka has an amazing collection of lipsticks. Below I’ve swatched the five Lipstick Novum shades (Rose, Nature Shimmer, Berry, Apricot and Maple Glow) and the Lipstick shade Pink Topaz. The lipstick Novum in Maple Glow is part of the limited edition comeback look.
As you can see in the photos all the lipsticks are very sheer with Maple Glow being the most opaque. I think these shades are very good for a subtle but beautiful look without being too dramatic.
You can find these lipstick swatches and many more on my Lipstick Collections page.
